When the virus which killed millions of people is gone, humanity lives in a planet-wide quarantine enforced by an alien species.
The year is 2355. The deadly virus that killed millions of people is gone, thanks to the quarantine measures put in place by the Criterion, an alien species who appeared just in time to save the human race. In exchange for complying with their tough control measures, the Criterion promised us the technology for interstellar travel. We’ve done all they’ve asked, yet we’re still on Earth with no way of getting into deep space. The Criterion are lying to us. What they don’t know is that we’re lying to them ...
Kethryn Miller is an award-winning actress, but nothing will prepare her for the role she’ll take on when a strange woman who shouldn’t be alive turns up in the city, threatening to expose the lies that have kept peace on Earth for 200 years.

Derek followed Aries out onto the balcony, biting down on the pain that raced up his leg from his ankle. Long periods of sitting aggravated his ailment, and today’s meeting had been long.
“I suspect I know what message your minister received,” said Aries. “I also suspect I know what you will ask, but the decision is out of my control. These are the laws that mankind created.”
Aries was always to the point, a trait Derek liked about her. It saved a lot of time, but it also reminded him that she wasn’t human. Some called the Criterion emotionless. Not true, he thought. They’d just had millennia to contain their emotions.
“You denied Justine’s application to have a child,” said Derek. “For the third time.”
“If she possesses an impure gene, she cannot have a child. That is the law.”
“She’s getting treatment for her condition. A treatment you recommended.”
Aries sighed. “These are human laws we uphold, not ours. Must I remind you that all the leaders sat around a table and decided which of their policies would save the human race. We are not the leaders of your world.”
“Some days I’m not so sure.”
She turned to face him. Her liquid eyes hardened as if they’d iced over. The tendrils on the back of her head lifted, which happened whenever she got angry. In twelve years, he’d gotten to know her well.
“When we arrived,” said Aries, in a self-righteous tone, “your species was dying, your planet destroyed, and while I place no faith in hope as a cure, is it not fair to say you had lost all hope?”
She gazed at him, seeking an answer, and as he stared into her face, he realized that she suddenly appeared old. And this realization made him feel old. They were both being replaced. Neither was ready for it. Both had work to finish. And nobody cared.
Derek sighed. “I don’t want to argue with you, but can’t you make an exception just this once? Show compassion. The ministers are your direct link to the citizens and they’d have a better time believing the Criterion are a compassionate race if you showed it. At least once in a century. If not for Justine, then do it for me. Think of it as my last request in my official capacity as President.”
Aries tilted her head. “Would you ask me to sit idly by while you returned your world to its ruined state? All it takes is one diseased gene and the chain is broken.”
“It’s just one act of kindness.”
Aries sighed. “I couldn’t unlock the fertility inhibitor chip even if I wanted to. It’s interfaced with the host’s body and designed not to activate in the presence of unhealthy genes. The Order Of Harmony hold the overriding codes, not me.”
“You’re the Order Of Harmony.”
“I am one member of a much larger organization.”
Derek paused. He’d always considered the residing advocates had the ability to unlock the fertility chips. If not, then who did?

Son of Waves: A Screenplay/Short Story by Dylan Tauber

Award-winning electronic musician, artist, and author Dylan Tauber stops by today for an interview and to share an excerpt from Son of Waves, available FREE from the author’s website and selected retailers.

A story with original photography, digital art, and illustration, about Son of Waves, 12 Dolphins to save the planet, David The Visionary on the beach in Tel Aviv, a digital messiah, and an internet of Love.

Book Video

January 1, 2019:
Earth Soul is in an urgent meeting with the other planets of the solar system.
Earth: I am being destroyed by the very most evolved of my children. I blessed them with abundance, and they filled my oceans with plastic. I blessed them with endless love from every tree and blade of grass, and they cut down my rain forests. I gave them a loving sky with clouds smiling at them, but their scientists and governments made chem-trails trying to change my nature.
I gave them endless abundance, and they spent it on machines of war to kill each other. I am sick. What must I do? The symbiotic relationship I began with The Humans has been corrupted.
Venus: I cry for you my sister.
Mars: I cry for your earthquakes and tsunamis. When will harmony be restored? Must we decree a violent end to Man?
Sun: Enough of violent talk Mars. I spoke with God immediately before this assembly and He smiled. A solution is coming that will bring balance to the solar system.
God has decided to send everything. The Aliens are coming. The human messiah is coming. The digital internet of love is coming. The evil from which earth is suffering will soon be over.
Earth: Thank you great Sun for sending me this good news from the great God of the universe. My suffering will soon turn to love. I will alert my faithful.
Sun: May God bless us all. I will send extra love and light to you all my dear planets. Meeting adjourned.
A pod of 12 dolphins assigned to the coast of Israel dove deep.
The Ocean: I have a message from Gaia. The light has spoken. We will celebrate a healing soon. Spread the word. Swim far and spread the good news.

Praise for the Book
“Dylan is like no one I've ever come across. His mind exists on a whole different plane. He's written a short script that's a true representation of his unique heart and soul, which I could easily see, in my mind's eye, as the premise for an animated film or more.” ~ Nimisha S.

My Review
I received this book in return for an honest review.

By Lynda Dickson
Read (or listen to) the story of 21-year-old Son of Waves and his meeting with the new Messiah, David. Learn how, together with a pod of twelve dolphins, the Korean Tae-Kwan-Do team, and a group of Shin Bet bodyguards, they save the world from evil.
This is just a small part of the author’s universe, which you can visit via his multiple websites. He displays a powerful imagination and a depth of compassion for mankind. The book is illustrated with his own photographs and digital art, while the audiobook includes his electronic music and art. This screenplay would make a great short, animated film as a vehicle to spread the message of peace and love. “Love and you will live.”

Scientists warned it would happen.
Meteors devastated the Earth. World Governments developed plans to help surviving citizens. The United States disbanded and salvageable land was divided into four quadrants - North, South, East, and West - governed by The Remnant Council.
Struggling to survive, seventeen-year-old Ava ends up in juvenile detention, until she is selected for a new life - with a catch. She must be injected with an experimental serum. The results will be life changing. The serum will make her better. To receive the serum, Ava agrees to join a program controlled by ISAN, the International Sensory Assassin Network.
While on a mission, she is abducted by a rebel group led by Rhett and told that not only does she have a history with him, but her entire past is a lie perpetuated by ISAN to ensure her compliance. Unsure of who to trust, Ava must decide if her strangely familiar and handsome captor is her enemy or her savior - and time is running out.

“Would you like my assistance? Or you can just stand there so I can stare at you a bit longer.”
Startled, I whirled toward the sound of a familiar, seductive voice. Sniper stood by the walk-in closet in a cool, relaxed manner with his hand braced on the door. His hair was slicked back, looking polished and debonair. My heart pummeled, but not in fear.
Was I crazy to be attracted to him? Mesmerized by the black tuxedo forming to his perfect body, I stared at him and wondered if I’d dreamed him up. His presence confirmed I hadn’t imagined him above the stairs earlier. Then I wondered if he’d come alone.
“How’d you know I was here?”
Unnerved, I gritted my teeth. He hadn’t heeded my warning to stay away. I should scream or plan an escape out of the bathroom, but I couldn’t move or think. His presence stirred my curiosity and I wanted answers, especially when the lunatic thought he knew me.
“It doesn’t concern you,” he said.
His nonchalant tone caused me to raise my voice. “The hell it doesn’t.”
“I’ll explain later.”
I scoffed. “Are you here to try to kidnap me again?”
I might not have Helix, but I had my heels and months of training backing me up. If there was one thing I was good at, it was bringing a person to their knees. Courage grew inside me and I dropped my dress.
Sniper snapped out of his stupor and his amber eyes grew darker. “Where are my manners? I admire the dress, but I like what you’re wearing now so much more.” He waggled his eyebrows. “You look absolutely beautiful tonight.”
No. Don’t say that.
I became breathless when he closed the gap between us. Why was I letting him? When Sniper raised his hand, I flinched. My heart galloped faster when he cupped my face and ran his thumb ever so tenderly along my cheek.
“I wish I could’ve been your date tonight. We could’ve danced together. Dancing with me always made you happy.”
I closed my eyes for several seconds, hypnotized by his voice, by his touch. I pictured us slow dancing, not because it had happened, but because I desperately wanted the happiness he described.
Then I came to my senses. Leaning into his caress, I pretended to enjoy it, which wasn’t hard. Moving slowly, I raised my knee …
